Andrew and David’s story

Brothers Andrew, 59, and David, 62, who live together in sheltered accommodation in Kettering, volunteer at Green Patch twice a week.

Andrew: “We walk here from home, it takes about 30 minutes, and we love it. We water the garden and have our own gardening plot. At the moment we are growing lettuce, radishes, beetroot, carrots, beans and spring onions.”

David: “One of my favourite things is collecting the chicken and duck eggs. We love being here, it feels like family.”
