Volunteers launch new upcycled garden at The Green Patch!

We’ve set our volunteers the challenge of working on a section of The Green Patch using only donations, upcycling and recycling what is already on-site or at home. We want to show people how you can start working on a new patch of your garden with little to no budget. Follow along for regular updates or come down to The Green Patch and see the area for yourself!

Recipes from The Green Patch Garden - Chilli

Welcome to our new series, recipes from The Green Patch. We’re going to be sharing some of our favourite cheap & easy meals for you to re-create at home.

A hearty, healthy and comforting winter warmer, Chilli is a firm favourite with our volunteers.

We normally make a Vegan base when we cook at The Green Patch, then provide some additional toppings if people would like them, such as the cheese and/or yogurt we suggest for this recipe! This recipe is a good option if you have cans in the cupboard you’re looking to use, as you can add lots of beans or lentils to pack it with goodness.
